A Classic Memory Recreated on Canvas

Don was a pretty good footballer back in the 60s - in fact one year his team, Cootamundra, beat Temora in the Grand Final with Don scoring the winning try. His team won the keys to the city and as much beer as they could drink at their local pub.

Using information from these two photos and listening to Don's recollections from the day, I was able to transform a few sketchy impressions into a full colour custom artwork.

Don's idea was to recreate that game-winning dash to the tryline which won the premiership for his team. The problem was that over the years he had lost most of the pictures of that great game. All that was left were a few odd black-and-white photos from other games.

The final colour oil painting reproduced from the black and white photos.
