Q. What makes paintedmemories different?
A. paintedmemories is a customised painting service specialising in bringing your treasured moments to life. I can paint directly from a photo or create an entirely new scene to recreate your memories.

Q. How long does it take to make a painting?
A. This depends on several factors, for instance how many people are in a portrait, the level of detail involved and the size of the painting. Paintings with a lot of light colours seem to take longer to dry. Generally, your painting should be ready in 4-6 weeks, but in some particularly urgent cases a shorter time frame can be arranged.

Q. What materials do you use?
A. My preferred materials are oil on canvas, which gives a rich, textured finish ideal for most subjects. Occasionally I will use acrylic paint which gives a flatter appearance more suitable for abstract painting. Painting onto artists' paper is also an option. All canvas is stretched on quality kiln-dried pine which resists warping.

Q. Do the paintings come framed?
A. Because framing is largely a personal choice, I generally leave this to the customer. However, on request, I do make a simple hardwood frame which I hand-colour to match each painting. This is an additional $100.

Q. What method of payment do you accept?
A. At the moment, cash, cheque, bank deposit and PayPal are the preferred options. I do have plans to set up credit card transactions in the future.

Q. How do I send my photos to paintedmemories?
A. Emailing is usually the quickest and easiest way. For the best results, make sure the photos are of a high enough resolution to suit the size of painting you want. 300dpi is ideal. Remember that the more detail I can see the more lifelike your painting will be. The preferred file formats are JPEG, TIFF, PDF, EPS. If you would rather mail your photos, that's no problem - simply get in touch and I will give you a mailing address.

A. Anywhere in Australia and internationally.

A. Yes, you need to provide your personal details for delivery. All information is strictly confidential and will not be available to anyone else.
